The complete annexation petition and map is available for inspection and copying at the City Recorder’s Office, 110 South Main Street, Utah, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays.

City May Grant Petition and Annex Property Unless Protest Filed
The Springville City Council may grant the petition and annex the above-described property unless a written protest to the annexation petition is filed with the Utah County Boundary Commission, and a copy of the protest is delivered to the Springville City Recorder no later than Wednesday, January 22, 2025, which is 30 days after the Springville City Council’s receipt of the Notice of Certification.

Where Protests May Be Filed
Protests shall be filed with the Utah County Boundary Commission, ATTN: Andrea Allen, Utah County Recorder, 100 E Center St. #1300, Provo, UT 84606 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays. Power Master Plan, IFFP, and IFA

The purpose of the power facilities Impact Fee Facilities Plan (IFFP), with supporting Impact Fee Analysis (“IFA”), is to fulfill the requirements established in Utah Code Title 11 Chapter 36a, the “Impact Fees Act”, and assist Springville City (the City) in financing and constructing necessary capital improvements for future growth. This document will address the future infrastructure needed to serve the City through the next ten years, as well as the appropriate impact fees the City may charge to new growth to maintain the level of service (LOS). The City commissioned a Capital Facility Plan (CFP), completed in October 2023, to support the IFFP and IFA analysis.

 The Springville City is proposing to increase its property tax revenue.

– The Springville City tax on a $462,000 residence would increase from $190.07 to $199.72, which is $9.65 per year.

– The Springville City tax on a $462,000 business would increase from $345.58 to $363.13, which is $17.55 per year.

– If the proposed budget is approved, Springville City would increase its property tax budgeted revenue by 5.24% above last year’s property tax budgeted revenue excluding eligible new growth.

The Springville City 2023 Primary Election is being conducted primarily by mail, for which eligible registered voters in Springville City will be mailed a ballot. Election Day Vote Centers will be available on Election Day, Tuesday, September 5th, 2023, for those who did not receive a ballot, misplaced their ballot, need the ADA amenities of an electronic voting machine, or prefer to vote in person. Identification is required to vote in person. Ballot drop boxes and a list of ID options are available at www.utahcounty.vote. Public Hearing Notice – Proposed Tax Increase

NOTICE OF PROPOSED TAX INCREASE
SPRINGVILLE CITY

The SPRINGVILLE CITY is proposing to increase its property tax revenue.

The SPRINGVILLE CITY tax on a $454,000 residence would increase from $186.28 to $195.27, which is $8.99 per year.

The SPRINGVILLE CITY tax on a $454,000 business would increase from $338.68 to $355.03, which is $16.35 per year.

If the proposed budget is approved, SPRINGVILLE CITY would increase its property tax budgeted revenue by 4.88% above last year’s property tax budgeted revenue excluding eligible new growth.

All concerned citizens are invited to a public hearing on the tax increase.

Planning Commission Public Hearing Notice

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

The Springville City Planning Commission will consider the following item at the public meeting scheduled for Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 7:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers, located at 110 South Main Street. The public is invited to attend and comment on the following:

1)  Springville Community Development requests amendment to the Main Street South Gateway Zone to correct an oversight in a previous amendment to building height. The previous amendment proposed to reduce the upper story floor to ceiling height from 9 feet to 8 feet 8 inches. This was omitted from the adoption ordinance and therefore not amended in the code. This amendment corrects the omission.
