Citizen Alert

Springville’s Mass Notification System

How will you find out about city emergencies and disasters? Your safety is our top concern. Early warning helps save lives and property. That is why Springville wants to make sure you know about emergencies and disasters as they happen. Springville will use the Citizen Alert system to let you know about issues that may affect your safety. The Citizen Alert system will contact thousands of residents in minutes so you find out about an emergency right away.

FAQ

How does it work?

When the City issues a message about a potential safety hazard or concern, messages will be sent to all standard voice, text and email communication devices, including listed landline phones. If you do not confirm receipt of the message, Citizen Alert may continue trying to contact you until it receives a confirmation from you. Messages may be sent to the whole community, or just a neighborhood affected by an event.

Community Event Messages

In addition to emergency messages, when you sign up you can choose to receive information updates on up to five locations within the City — home, work, children’s schools or anywhere in Springville or Mapleton where you want to know what is going on (Library, Museum, Recreation, Golf, etc.). You choose what you are interested in. These messages can keep you informed of special events the City offers you and your family.
