Yard Waste Disposal Center

Spring Clean-Up 2017

Due to the changes that Provo and Spanish Fork made in 2016 to their yard waste programs, patrons will now be asked to show proof of Springville residency before using the facility.

Non-residents and commercial operations will be charged to drop off their yard waste.  Pick-up Trucks – $10, Small Single Axle Trailer – $10, Pick-up Trucks or Small Single Axle Trailers with Sideboards – $20, Double Axle Trailer without sideboards – $20, Double Axle Trailer with sideboards – $30, Dump Truck – $50.

Yard waste is also accepted at the South Utah Valley Solid Waste District (Transfer Station) at 2450 West 400 South in Springville.  (801) 489-3027

The entrance to the yard waste facility is approximately 600 West 700 North. An attendant is on site to load compost.

Disposal materials must be suitable to be ground for composting. All contaminants must be removed that would damage the grinding equipment.

Acceptable materials:

  • Garden waste materials
  • Grass clippings
  • Leaves
  • Prunings
  • Tree limbs less than 6″ in diameter cut into lengths of 10 feet or less

Unacceptable Materials:

  • Cardboard
  • Carpet
  • Concrete
  • Construction materials
  • Furniture
  • Paper
  • Rocks
  • Sod
  • Tree stumps
  •  All other household garbage

Small stumps are accepted if they are free of rocks.

Other

COMPOSTed materials suitable for soil enhancement are available for purchase (cash or check only) at $25 per cubic yard, $13.00 per 1/2 cubic yard for residents; $36 per cubic yard, $18.00 per 1/2 cubic yard for non-residents.

There is a metal dumpster available for citizen convenience for all scrap metal, excluding refrigeration, air conditioners and freezers, unless there is a sticker stating they are free of freon.
