Registration Dates

PreK-2nd Grade winter basketball registration begins on October 1st – November 19th. 3rd-8th Grade registration October 1st – November 12th. High School (9th-12th) Registration October 1st – November 1st.

FRIEND REQUEST POLICY: Participants are allowed to request one friend. Friends must request each other and sign up before the registration deadline to be placed on the same team. Friend requests are not guaranteed, but we do our best to fulfill them. If you would like to request more than one friend, you will need to fill out a team roster form below and provide a coach.

Pre-K and Kindergarten

2 Sessions
This is an introductory basketball league for boys and girls (must be at least age 4 by August 31st for Session 1 or by January 1st for Session 2). Scheduled games will include team practice time followed by a scrimmage with another team. The fee is $45 for each session, non-residents add $10. A $10 late fee will be added after the deadline.

Session 1, Fall

Games will be held at Meadow Brook elementary school during October and November. Games will be played 1-2 times a week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings. This session will be finished before the 3rd-8th grade leagues begin play.

Session 2, Winter

Session 2 runs from January to mid-February. Games will be during January and February at Spring Canyon elementary school. Games will be played 1-2 times a week on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings.

1st – 2nd Grade

Session 1, Fall

Games will be held at Spring Canyon elementary school during October and November. Games will be played 1-2 times a week on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings. This session will be finished before the 3rd-8th grade leagues begin play.

Session 2, Winter

Session 2 runs from January to mid-February. Registration will be held October 11th through November 12th, 2021. Games will be during January and February at Westside elementary school. Games will be played 1-2 times a week on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings.

3rd – 8th Grade

Boys and Girls in 3rd through 8th grades can register October 1st through November 1st. The registration fee is $55 per player for 3rd-6th grade, registration fee for 7th-8th grade is $60 per player. Late registrations are accepted until the leagues are filled. If the league is full, a waiting list is utilized. A $10 late fee will be charged after the deadline. Non-Springville residents also add $10. League practices will begin after Thanksgiving and games will begin in January after the holiday break.

Placements

Placements will not be implemented this season.

High School Basketball

For 9th through 12th Graders. Create your own team with friends. Cost is $520 per team, 7 player minimum and 10 player maximum per team for boys. Must sign up as a team. Boys 9-10 grades play together, and boys 11-12 grades play together. Girls 9-12 grade play together. Jersey is included. All players must be listed on the roster in order to play. Team captains can register and pay team fees online with Rec1 Online Registration, then complete and bring the Team Roster & Release Form to the Springville Rec office, 443 S 200 E, or email jgooch@springville.org. High school leagues may play against other south Utah County teams. Fees and rosters must be submitted by the deadline, any late registrations may not be able to play. Season starts in early-December and runs through mid-February, tournament in late-February. Games are played on Saturdays and Mondays. Players on a school team are not allowed to play in the City recreation league.

Adaptive VIP Program

For ages 5 and up. Registration for the 2023 season is open November to December . Cost is $25 per participant and includes a team shirt. There is no added non-resident fee for this program. All are welcome!

Rec1 Online Registration

Registration is online 24 hours a day and 7 days a week through the Rec1 system. Users must create a family account and log in to register. If you have difficulties with Rec1 online registration, please call the Rec office during regular business hours at (801) 489-2730. If you forget your password, please call and it can be reset. Please do not create multiple accounts to register your participant. Most registration problems can be solved quickly over the telephone. Recreation staff can help by phone, so coming to the office isn’t necessary unless you are paying with cash or a check.
