These specialized programs provide inclusive recreational opportunities to all ability levels ages 5 and up. Who have any mental and/or physical disability including Down Syndrome, Autism, Epilepsy, genetic disorders, and players requiring the use of walkers and wheelchairs. Basketball

For ages 5 and up. Cost is $25 per participant and includes a team shirt. There is no added non-resident fee for this program. All are welcome!

Urban Fishing

The adaptive session for VIP special needs people ages 6 and up is held Thursday evenings for 6 weeks in April and May. This session runs only 1 hour from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. It is held at Wayne Bartholomew Family Park, 1090 South 1900 East. Each session is limited to 8 participants. Cost is $25 and includes a T-shirt. Fishing tackle is provided. You must supply your own fishing pole.

Youth Urban Fishing is sponsored in part by the DWR.

Volunteers

Volunteer instructors are needed. Volunteers qualify for Dedicated Hunter hours with the Division of Wildlife Resources. Peer Tutor credit hours are also available for HS students assisting in the Adaptive Session. Contact recreation@springville.org for additional information about volunteering.

For ages 5 and up. Participants will play on smaller fields and with buddies. Cost is $25 per participant and includes a uniform shirt and hat. There is no added non-resident fee for this program. Games are played in May and June.

For ages 5 and up. Cost is $25 per participant and includes a uniform shirt, shorts, and socks. Late registrations are not guaranteed a uniform. There is no added non-resident fee for this program. All are welcome! Participants will play on smaller fields and with buddies. Games will be held on Saturday mornings in September and October.

Rec1 Online Registration

Registration is online 24 hours a day and 7 days a week through the Rec1 system. Users must create a family account and log in to register. If you have difficulties with Rec1 online registration, please call the Rec office during regular business hours at (801) 489-2730. If you forget your password, please call and it can be reset. Please do not create multiple accounts to register your participant. Most registration problems can be solved quickly over the telephone. Recreation staff can help by phone, so coming to the office isn’t necessary unless you are paying with cash or a check.
