Tennis Lessons

For ages 8-18 Years Old – Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced: Registration is open from April 19th until all spots are filled.  Fee is $50.

SESSION 1: June 1-10. Session 1 will run for 2 weeks – four days per week (8 classes total). Due to Memorial Day week 1 will be Tuesday through Friday, week 2 will be Monday through Thursday. Choose class times at 10:00am or 11:00am with each class lasting one hour. Limit 30 participants per class.

SESSION 2:  June 14-24. Session 2 will run for 2 weeks Monday through Thursday (8 classes total). Choose class times at 10:00am or 11:00am with each class lasting one hour. Limit 30 participants per class.

Program Information: This is an instructional tennis program for boys and girls ages 8 to 18 with beginner / intermediate / advanced skills.  Players need to bring their own racquet and will be grouped together according to skill.  Registration begins April 19th. Sessions will be held at the lower Arts Park tennis courts.  There will be a 6:1 teacher/student ratio, which means more instruction and contact with the ball.


Springville Youth Tennis League

Coed League for experienced tennis players ages 10-14 years old: Registration is open April 19th until all spots are filled.  Fee is $90 and includes a T-shirt. Limit 40 boys and 20 girls.

Practices and matches will be held in Springville, no travel required. League dates are June 1st through June 28th from 8:30am to 10:00am Monday through Thursday. Includes tennis drills and coaching with 4 matches during the season, ending with a final tournament on June 28. Instruction will be held at Lower Arts Park and matches will be at Springville Junior High.

Please only sign your child up for this league if he/she has tennis experience. Must be able to serve and have a 2-3 ball rally in order to play in this league. Please contact Emma Templeman (385)477-8075 with any additional questions.



Registration is open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week through the Rec1 online system. Users must create a family account and log in to register. If you have difficulties with Rec1 online registration, please call the Rec office during regular business hours at (801) 489-2730. If you forget your password, please call and it can be reset. Please do not create multiple accounts to register your participant. Most registration problems can be solved quickly over the telephone. The Recreation staff can help by phone so coming to the office isn’t necessary (unless you are paying cash or check).

Register any time 24 / 7 on Rec1 using a card. Cash and check payments for registration are accepted in-office at Springville Recreation, 443 South 200 East, during regular business hours.
