Youth sports registrations for fall programs are opening in good faith that the Utah County Covid-19 level will remain at yellow or green. Springville Rec will cancel these programs if heavier restrictions are put back into place for this area.
Flag Football
Registration open June 15 – July 10, 2020
Registration extended for 7-8-9 Grade League. New Deadline is August 2. Late registration for all other leagues continues until filled with a $10 late fee added, then a waiting list will be utilized.
Flag football has expanded to include an instructional 1st & 2nd grade league as well as a 7th, 8th & 9th grade league. Leagues are based on the grade the child will be attending in the fall.
League fees include a team T-shirt. A $10 late fee will be added after the deadline. Late registrations are accepted until leagues are filled, then a waiting list is utilized. A $10 fee is also added for non-Springville residents. Season begins with the new school year in August and goes to mid-October.
1st & 2nd Grade – $40
3rd & 4th Grade – $50
5th & 6th Grade – $50
7th-8th-9th Grades – $50 Season starts in mid-September and will play Monday through Thursday through the end of October.
Leagues are based on school grade in the fall. There are NO REQUESTS in a sport with placements (except siblings playing in the same league). Players will be drafted by the coach.

All team placements will be held at 6:30 pm at Bird Park (1100 East 900 South). Team placements are held for ALL 3rd graders and any 4th graders who did not play last year and ALL 5th graders and any 6th graders who did not play last year. ALL 7th graders and 8th & 9th graders who did not play last year will also need to attend placements.
7th-8th-9th Placements – Monday, July 20th at 6:30 pm at Bird Park TBD
5th-6th Placements – Tuesday, July 21st at 6:30 pm at Bird Park
3rd-4th Placements – Wednesday, July 22nd at 6:30 pm at Bird Park
Tackle Football

Tackle program is open to Springville residents only for 3rd through 9th Grades. Leagues are based on school grade coming up in the fall. Each age group practices and competes within their individual grade. Youth program for 3rd-4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students, and Freshman program specifically geared to 9th grade students. Tackle leagues include intensive practices starting at the end of July, games are scheduled from the beginning of the school year through October with playoffs after regular season. NO REFUNDS will be issued after the first game.
3rd through 8th Grades – $200
9th Grade – $275
Late Registration on July 13th and beyond – a $10 late fee will be added.
No refunds will be issued after the first game.
Tackle weigh in – day and time yet to be determined.
Tackle placements / draft – day and time yet to be determined.
All players must weigh in by the placements to be placed on team.

Equipment is included in the registration fee. Equipment will be handed out before practices begin. At that time all players will be weighted for the official weigh in. If your child does not weigh in before the draft then he will be assigned to a team by the commissioner. Any child that does not come to the draft will be assigned to a team by the commissioner. All teams will be drafted equally! All teams will start on the A teams and will be moved at the discretion of the commissioner and the League Board.
Tackle leagues play from the beginning of the school year through October with playoffs at the end of the regular season.

*Registration is open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week through the Rec1 online system. Users must create a family account and log in to register. If you have difficulties with Rec1 online registration, please call the Rec office during regular business hours at 801-489-2730. If you forget your password, please call and it can be re-set. Please do not create multiple accounts to register your participant. Most registration problems can be solved quickly over the telephone.
