Elementary grades 3 through 6 use a field day each Spring to participate in the Springville Track event scheduled with cooperation of the Springville schools and City Recreation. Registration for 3rd through 6th grades is completed through the elementary schools. Home school children are also encouraged to participate with their grade level. There is no entry fee.

Registration Forms are distributed and collected through Springville elementary schools for all 3rd-6th grade children. Home schooled children are also welcome to participate with their grade level. Parents are encouraged to attend and parent volunteers are needed for each school and each grade. Talk to your child’s teacher in order to volunteer. Parents must sign a registration form and return it through the teacher or bring it to the Recreation office in advance of the event. If you have any questions, please email

Events are scheduled to begin at 9:30 am.  Please have everyone in their seats by 9:15 am to receive instruction. First call for events will be at 9:20 am, and events will start at 9:30 am. Sometimes there is inclement weather, but the scheduled field day will continue as planned unless there is lightning or extreme conditions that would be considered unsafe for running the events.

Springville Track & Field Club 2018

Registration is February 19 through March 23, 2018. Cost is $50 and includes a team t-shirt. (Late registrations are not guaranteed a team shirt). Age divisions will be based on birth years 2003 through 2011. Child must be age 6 by December 31, 2017.

Track and Field Club will be held from early April through early June. The first day of practice will be on Tuesday, April 10th. Practices will be held at the SHS track twice per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 pm to 6 pm. The club will compete against other Utah county clubs in three multi-city meets during the season and an invitational meet in June. The dates and times for these are:

  • May 1st – Salem 5:00 pm
  • May 11th – Springville High School – 5:00 pm
  • May 15th – Wasatch – 5:00 pm
  • The season will end with the South County Invitational Meet on Saturday, June 2nd in Fillmore.

Participants can compete in up to 4 of the following events at each of the meets:  50 Meter, 100 Meter, 200 Meter, 400 Meter, 800 Meter, 1600 Meter, 4×100 relay, 4×400 relay, shot put, discus, javelin, standing long jump, running long jump, and high jump.

Please do not create multiple accounts to register your participant. Most registration problems can be solved quickly over the telephone.
