TRACK AND FIELD
Elementary grades 3 through 6 use a field day each Spring to participate in the Springville Track event scheduled with cooperation of the Springville schools and City Recreation. Registration for 3rd through 6th grades is completed through the elementary schools. Home school children are also encouraged to participate with their grade level. There is no entry fee.
Registration Forms are distributed and collected through Springville elementary schools for all 3rd-6th grade children. Home schooled children are also welcome to participate with their grade level. Parents are encouraged to attend and parent volunteers are needed for each school and each grade. Talk to your child’s teacher in order to volunteer. Parents must sign a registration form and return it through the teacher or bring it to the Recreation office in advance of the event. If you have any questions, please email email@example.com.
Please bring any LATE Registration Forms to the Recreation table on the day of the meet. Late participants will be placed at the end of the event line.

Events are scheduled to begin at 9:30 am. Please have everyone in their seats by 9:15 am to receive instruction. First call for events will be at 9:20 am, and events will start at 9:30 am. Sometimes there is inclement weather, but the scheduled field day will continue as planned unless there is lightning or extreme conditions that would be considered unsafe for running the events.
Springville Track & Field Club 2017
Registration is February 20th through March 24th, 2017. Track and Field Club will be held from early April through early June. Practices will be held at the SHS track twice per week on Mondays and Fridays from 4:30 pm to 6 pm. The first day of practice will be on Monday, April 10th. The club will compete against other Utah county clubs in three tri-city meets during the month of May and will end with the South County Invitational Meet in early June. Cost is $50 and includes a team t-shirt. (Late registrations are not guaranteed a team shirt).
Participants can compete in up to 4 of the following events at each of the meets: 50 Meter, 100 Meter, 200 Meter, 400 Meter, 800 Meter, 1600 Meter, 4×100 relay, 4×400 relay, shot put, discus, javelin, standing long jump, running long jump, and high jump.
Age divisions will be based on birth year as follows:
Child must be age 6 by December 31st, 2016.

*Registration is open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week through the Rec1 online system. Users must create a family account and log in to register. If you have difficulties with Rec1 online registration, please call the Rec office during regular business hours at 801-489-2730. If you forget your password, please call and it can be re-set. Please do not create multiple accounts to register your participant. Most registration problems can be solved quickly over the telephone. Cash and check payments for registration are accepted in-office at Springville Recreation, 443 South 200 East, during regular business hours.
