Registration Dates Vary For Each League

Pre-K and Kindergarten Basketball TWO SESSIONS! This is an introductory basketball league for boys and girls (must be at least age 4 by August 31st for Session 1 or by January 1st for Session 2). Scheduled games will include team practice time followed by a scrimmage with another team. The fee is $40, non-residents add $10. Schedules will be determined and posted after teams are assembled. A $10 late fee will be added after the deadline. Online registration remains open until the leagues are completely filled, then a waiting list is utilized.
…..SESSION ONE – FALL 2019 – Register online or in office from August 5th – September 6th, 2019. Games will be held at Westside elementary school during October and November.  Games will be played 1-2 times a week on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings. This session will be finished before the 3rd-8th grade leagues begin play.

…..SESSION TWO – WINTER 2020 runs from January to mid-February. Registration will be held October 14th through November 15th, 2019. Games will be during January and February at Meadow Brook elementary school. Games will be played 1-2 times a week on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings.

3rd through 8th Grade Basketball
Boys and Girls in 3rd through 8th grades can register from October 1st through October 31st, 2019 for the 2020 playing season. The registration fee is $45 per player. Late registrations are accepted until the leagues are filled. If the league is full, a waiting list is utilized. A $10 late fee will be charged after the deadline. Non-Springville residents also add $10. League practices begin in late November and games are played in January and February 2020.
There are NO REQUESTS in a sport with placements (except siblings playing in the same league). Players will be drafted by the coach. Click here for the Springville Rec Draft Policy. The 3rd-4th-5th-6th grade boys will all play in separate leagues with their own grade.
Boys Team Placements
Team placements are held for ALL 5th, 6th,  and 7th grade boys. Any 8th graders that did not play last year must also attend placements.

Team placements are held for ALL 5th and 7th grade girls. Any 6th or 8th graders that did not play last year must also attend placements.

High School Basketball League – For 9th through 12th Graders. Create your own team with friends. Registration is open October 15 through November 15, 2019. Cost is $450 per team,  7 player minimum and 10 player maximum per team for boys. Must sign up as a team. Jerseys are included. Boys 9-10 grades play together, and boys 11-12 grades play together. Girls 9-12 grade play together. Jersey is included. All players MUST be listed on the roster in order to play. Team captain can register and pay team fee online with Rec1 Online Registration, then complete and bring the Team Roster & Release Form to the Springville Rec office (443 S 200 E). High school leagues will play against other south Utah County teams. Fees and rosters must be submitted by November 15th, any late registrations will not be scheduled for pre-season games. Season starts in mid-December and runs through late February, tournament in March. Games are played on Saturdays and possibly some Mondays. *IMPORTANT* Players on a school team are not allowed to play in the city recreation league.

*Registration is open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week through the Rec1 online system. Users must create a family account and log in to register. If you have difficulties with Rec1 online registration, please call the Rec office during regular business hours at 801-489-2730. If you forget your password, please call and it can be re-set. Please do not create multiple accounts to register your participant. Most registration problems can be solved quickly over the telephone. The Recreation staff can help by phone so coming to the office isn’t necessary (unless you are paying cash or check). Click here for Rec1 Online Registration.

Cash and check payments for registration are accepted in-office at Springville Recreation, 443 South 200 East, during regular business hours.
