The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is in the process of updating the Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) for areas of Utah County. In conjunction with this effort FEMA developed a revised floodplain for Springville City. The revised maps may impact your property. Your property may be located within the 1-percent-annual-chance floodplain delineated by FEMA. If this map is adopted by FEMA, you may be required to purchase flood insurance.
A Public Open House will be held on March 21, 2018 from 6 – 8 PM at the Springville Civic Center, Multi-Purpose Room, 110 South Main Street, Springville, Utah. During this meeting the revised FEMA maps will be discussed and those in attendance will have an opportunity to ask questions about the impacts the new maps will have on their property.
A web viewer has been created to show the preliminary data and changes since the last FIRM data map was published in the early 1980’s. Please visit the web viewer: https://goo.gl/LLq6v2
We encourage you to attend the meeting where these maps and your options as an affected property owner will be described in more detail. Please visit www.floodsmart.gov for further National Flood Insurance information, or contact the FEMA map information exchange at 877 336-2627 (877 FEMA MAP).

Speaking Volumes |Transforming Hate showcases the diverse work of more than thirty artists who have transformed thousands of controversial white supremacist books into uplifting works of art. This stunning exhibition challenges and moves visitors with its thought-provoking and occasionally light-hearted collection of artwork, and provides honest opportunities to address discrimination in our communities and racism in America.
Speaking Volumes |Transforming Hate, an exhibition from the Montana Human Rights Network curated by Katie Knight, is brought to Utah by Utah Humanities and is touring in partnership with the Springville Museum of Art and the Ogden Union Station Foundation, with support from the Utah Division of Arts & Museums and the B.W.
