Volunteers for Boards and Commissions Needed

Due to the variety and numbers of services provided by Springville City, the City Council has chosen to establish volunteer boards, commissions, and committees. The City Council uses these groups in an advisory role as Springville has grown and expanded.

The primary role of City Boards, Commissions and Committees is to provide increased public input and citizen participation in City government.

If you would like to contribute your time and expertise to Springville City and volunteer for a Board or commission please go to Boards and Commissions Volunteer Application at www.springville.org and complete an application today.

Museum Docent Training

Are you looking for a fun way to get involved in the community? Consider becoming a volunteer docent (tour guide) at the Springville Museum of Art! We are currently recruiting for docents and our next round of docent training starts next week. As a docent you will learn how to help visitors create meaning and engage with the artwork at the Museum. No art knowledge or experience is necessary. Only requirements are a willingness to learn and enthusiasm! Docent training will be held Tuesday, January 14th, Tuesday, January 21st, and Tuesday, January 28th from 10am-1pm. Most tours scheduled at the Museum are on weekdays. If you are interested please email Maddison at mmorgan@springville.org. We’d love to have you!

Christmas Tree Pick Up

We’ll be picking up live Christmas trees from January 13th to January 31st. Take the ornaments off and stick them on the curb for our tree elves to pick up. You can also take them to the Yard Waste Facility on those dates from 9 am to 3 pm if you prefer.
