The Rotary Club’s annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held April 20, 2019 at the high school football field. The hunt starts right at 10:00 am, so don’t be late! Children 12 and younger are invited to participate.
The Springville City Spring Clean-Up event was created to promote community beautification through volunteers working together. The 2019 Spring Clean-Up will be held April 26th – 27th and May 3rd – 4th.
The Public Works department in cooperation with SUVSWD will provide dumpsters throughout the City during the Spring Clean Up dates at the following parks:
Art Wing Park: 155 North 950 West
Big Hollow Park: 350 East 2200 South
Child Park: 200 South 1300 East
Hobble Creek Park: 2200 East 1250 South
Kelvin Grove Park: 1400 West 1600 South
Memorial Park: 500 East 200 South
Spring Creek Park: 475 East 600 North
Residents are encouraged to clean their yards, sweep gutters and sidewalks and do their best to improve yards and neighborhoods. Owners of vacant lots are encouraged to clear their lots of garbage, tall weeds and other debris.
Unwanted items can be taken to the South Utah Valley Solid Waste District (SUVSWD). All loads must be covered.
The Compost Facility is also open to accept yard waste, located at 600 West 700 North, on Tuesday through Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. A dumpster is available for scrap metal.
If you live near Hobble Creek and are worried about flooding from spring run-off, you can go to the rodeo grounds at 767 W 1600 S in Springville and fill sandbags to protect your property. The bags are stored in a garbage can near the pile of sand (located to your right after the gate). You will need to bring your own shovel. If you have questions, call Public Works at 801-491-2780.
Our annual Bike with the Mayor event will be held on May 18, 2019 at the Springville Civic Center. Festivities start at 9:30 am (including donuts, giveaways, and free bike registration) and the ride starts at 10:00 am. Hotdogs will be served afterwards and the Splash Pad will be opened for the season.
The Splash Pad will open on May 18, 2019 after the Bike with the Mayor event.

Registration Deadline is April 12th for Coach Pitch, T-Ball, and Kickball. A $10 late fee will be added until leagues are filled, then a waiting list is utilized.
HS Boys Colt and HS Girls Phoenix Registration is open March 25 – May 10.
Leagues are based on current school grade at the time of registration.
Because the weather forecast is predicting inclement weather this weekend, the Yard Waste center will open on Tuesday, March 5, 2019.
A class for those living with chronic pain will be held every Thursday from February 21, 2019 to March 28, 2019. The class will run from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm at the Springville Senior Center located at 65 East 200 South. To register visit livingwell.utah.gov or call 801-851-7095.
