SPRING 2017 SWIM SESSION
Registration opens online January 30h and remains open until filled
Register for Swim Levels 1-3 and Lifeguard Training classes
SPRING AQUATIC LESSON SESSION: Choose Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3 Swim Lessons to be held March 7th – 30th on Tuesdays and Thursdays (total of eight 30 minute classes) and/or Lifeguard Training classes in March or April.
GROUP LESSONS held in March on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:00-4:30 pm, 4:30-5:00 pm, 5:00-5:30 pm and/or 5:30-6:00 pm (Total Eight 30-min lessons). Cost is $47.
PRIVATE LESSONS (One-On-One Instruction) held in March on Tuesdays and Thursdays every 1/2 hour between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm (Total Eight 30-min lessons). Cost is $69.
LIFEGUARD TRAINING: American Red Cross Certification. Upon completing this course, you will be certified as an American Red Cross Lifeguard with CPR, AED, and First Aid for the professional rescuer. Course prerequisite requires swimming 300 yards non-stop, treading water with no hands for 2 minutes, diving 12 feet for a 10 pound brick with recovery. Attendance at all classes is MANDATORY. Must be at least 15 years old by the final day of class. Cost is $95 plus $35 for additional supplies. (Supplies needed are Lifeguard Training Book, resuscitation mask, and Training First Aid Kit. These materials can be purchased at the pool for an additional $35).
….. March Lifeguard Session is March 7th – 18th – Classes are 3 times a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:30 pm – 8 pm and Saturdays 8 am – 3 pm.
….. April Lifeguard Session is April 18th – 29th – Classes are 3 times a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:30 pm – 8 pm and Saturdays from 8 am – 3 pm.

Private Lessons: $69 One-On-One Instruction
Semi-Private Lessons: $59 No More Than Three Students
Group Lessons: $47 No More Than Six Students
Parent & Me: $35 (Not offered in all sessions)
*An additional fee of $10 will be added for non-Springville residents. We cannot give refunds for swimming lessons. No make-ups will be provided for late or absent students from class. If a make-up day is necessary due to a conflict with the pool, it will be on a Friday during the session and scheduled by the teacher.
Information: Please sign your child up for the group level you believe that they are according to level criteria found at the end of the Pool Section. Skill assessment and class assignment will be completed during the first 10 minutes on the 1st day of the session that you sign up for. You will be signing up for a lesson session and a lesson time, so please plan accordingly. We cannot give refunds for swimming lessons.

Registration for Swim Programs is open until classes are full. Sign up for Aquatics online through Rec1 Online Registration or at the pool. We highly recommend that you sign up for Aquatics online because there is limited space available. Log in to your Rec1 account and choose AQUATICS or SWIM to see available Swim Program registrations.

*Registration is open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week through the Rec1 online system. Users must create a family account and log in to register. If you have difficulties with Rec1 online registration, please call the Rec office during regular business hours at 801-489-2730. If you forget your password, please call and it can be re-set. Please do not create multiple accounts to register your participant. Most registration problems can be solved quickly over the telephone. The Recreation staff can help by phone so coming to the office isn’t necessary (unless you are paying cash or check). Click here for Rec1 Online Registration.
Cash and check payments for registration are accepted in-office at Springville Recreation, 443 South 200 East, during regular business hours.
SWIM PROGRAMS – No pre-registration required
Low Impact Adult Aquatic Body Conditioning
Mon – Thurs Mornings 6:30 am – 7:30 am and 9 am – 10 am
$3.50 drop in per class, or $40 for a 20 punch pass
Adult Swim Lessons: Saturday mornings at 9 am – 10 am. Cost is $40 for a 20 class punch card. Lessons range from beginning swimmers with fear of water, intermediate and advanced to refinement of strokes for the experienced athletes. Ages 18 and up.
All merit badge classes are taught by Boy Scouts of America Merit Badge Counselors. These merit badge courses are offered on the following Saturdays of each month from 10 am – 12 pm. Participants must be comfortable in the water. The cost is $12 per scout for each merit badge clinic, we provide the blue cards. There is no additional fee for non-residents.
SWIMMING Merit Badge or FIRST AID Merit Badge offered on the 1st Saturday of each month from 10 am to 12 pm.
LIFESAVING Merit Badge offered on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 10 am to 12 pm.
