Join Lisa Ballard, Jill Jensen, & Cassie Shepherd – certified personal trainers – for their motivational class on good health habits.  This class will be offered every 4th Tuesday through April.  This month’s class will focus on teaching easy exercises that can be done with little or no equipment.Wear your work-out clothes if you want a hands-on experience!

February 11th – 16th

We have a lot of activities at the library this week! Make sure and read through the list and join us for some of the following programs:

On Monday, Feb 11th, we’ll have our Family Night – My Funny Valentine. Bring the family at 7:00pm and enjoy a fun evening!

On Wednesday, Feb 13th at 7:00pm, we will have another USU Extension’s Food $ense Cooking and Nutrition Class.  Join Raven ALbertson & Lindsay McRae for this month’s topic: Slow Cooking and Cooking with Legumes.

On Thursday, Feb 14th, Sheri Britsch continues her Beginning Computer Skills class at both 10:00am & 7:00pm.  This is the third and final class in the series but watch for Sheri to repeat this series in April.

We have two programs for teens on Friday, Feb 15th.  Our Teen Film Making Class begins at 4:00pm and the Teen Night begins at 6:30pm. This evening’s theme is Beach Night so all teens are invited to a Night of Summer in the Cold! Come for sno-cones, a movie, games, and computers!

On Saturday, Feb 16th, there will also be two classes.  Our Microsoft Word class is taught by Lisa Willey and will begin at 10:00am in our computer room.  We will also have a Childbirth Options class beginning at 10:00am.  Join trained doula and childbirth educator Laura Dugovic for this class designed to empower and inform women of their childbirth choices. This class is 3 hours (10am-1pm).

February 4th – 9th

Are you feeling overwhelmed and behind with technology?  Join Sheri Britsch in our computer lab for her “Beginning Computer Skills” class.  Offered at 10:0am on the next three Thursdays (Feb 7th, 14th, & 21st), Sheri will cover basics such as surfing the web and making an e-mail account.  If you want to be more comfortable around computers, this is the class for you!

Our Teen Techtacular will be Thursday, Feb 7th at 6:30pm.  All teens ages 13-18 are invited to learn the newest technology.  This month will be illustrator movie posters!

We will have two classes on Saturday, Feb 9th. Join Lisa Willey in our computer room at 10:00am as she goes through Word basics.  Learn how to navigate a Word document, create a bulleted list, use tab stops, insert images, work with tables, and more!

Also on Saturday, Feb 9th, Laura Dugovic will teach a Childbirth Options class. Laura Dugovic is a trained doula and childbirth educator.  Laura is passionate about empowering women to actively create a birth experience that they will enjoy, remember, and cherish for the rest of their lives.  You will learn deep relaxation and meditation techniques, nutrition, how to eliminate the fear-tension-pain cycle, and more. This series will be held from 10am-1pm on the following days: Saturday, Feb 16; Saturday, Feb 16, & Saturday March 2nd.

All of our Springville Library programs are free of charge and are offered as a community service to our great patrons!
