Springville City and Evergreen Cemeteries will be cleaned up on Monday, June 2. All decorations will be collected and disposed of by cemetery personnel. If you wish to retain any decorations you have left on a grave, please get them before June 2.

Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given that the Springville City Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 7:00 PM in the Civic Center Council Chambers located at 110 South Main Street.  The public is invited to attend and comment on amending the Springville City General Plan pertaining to the Historic Center Community Plan.  Further notice is given that the City Council will take action on this item on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 7:00 PM.  For information regarding this proposal, please call 801-491-7861.

Hershey Track and Field

If your 3rd – 4th – 5th or 6th grader received a certificate in a track and field event, they qualify to compete in the Springville meet! The date for the Springville meet is Monday, May 19th at 4 pm. There is additional information on the back of each award certificate about the local meet and the opportunity to move forward to the district level. 

All 7th through 9th grade athletes (up to age 14) can compete at the Springville meet on May 19th beginning at 4 pm at the SHS track.

Winners of the local Springville meet will have the opportunity to practice with a city track team and work with coaches during the summer to help prepare for the State meet in June. Winners from the State meet will compete in scores from Region 2 and the best scores will be invited to go to Hershey, Pennsylvania in August for the National Hershey’s Track and Field Meet.

The 48th Annual Art Ball Fundraiser will be on May 17, 2014 from 6-10 p.m. Early-Bird discount tickets are going on sale now on the museum website. Salon artist and student discounts are also being offered.
Enjoy a magical evening filled with stunning art, fine dining, dancing under the stars and romance at the Salon de Paris Art Ball. In celebration of the Annual Spring Salon Exhibition at the Springville Museum of Art, the Art Ball will feature an array of entertainment and activities including fine French-themed catering from Magleby’s, a silent auction, the presentation of the 2014-2015 Art Royalty, and the music and entertainment of Jazz Docs and Mauresa Bastien. Celebrate the arts while contributing to a good cause.
