Public Hearing – Planning Commission
Notice is hereby given that the Springville City Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 7:00 PM. in the Civic Center Council Chambers, 110 South Main Street. The purpose of the hearing is to consider: a) Jerry Brailsford, representing Brailsford Cast & Stone Inc. seeking conditional use approval for the Brailsford Storage Lot located at 642 West 1300 North in the LIM – Light Industrial Manufacturing zone and b) Litefoot Investments, LLC seeking a recommendation of approval to vacate a portion of an unimproved street located at approximately 700 North 880 East and approval to vacate and amend Lot 11, Block 1 of Halls Eastern Hills Subdivision. Rotary Easter Egg Hunt
Springville Rotary Club sponsors an annual Easter egg hunt at the Springville High School football field on the Saturday morning before Easter. Children are divided into age groups and collect Easter candy that has been spread out over the field. Some candy is specially marked as the grand prize winners. Excellent gifts are provided by donations through the Rotary Club. Bring the kids and their baskets and don’t be late — the fun and frenzy goes very quickly! Easter Pool Party
Splash and Dash with a super egg hunt in the water! Come to the annual Easter Egg-stravaganza Pool Party on Monday, March 25th at 6:30pm at Springville Community Pool, (1015 East 900 South). Colored water, eggs with prizes, holiday fun for all ages! Family admission price $12.
Miss Springville-Mapleton Pageant
The Miss Springville-Mapleton scholarship pageant will be held on Saturday, March 23rd at 7:00 pm at Springville High School.
Donkey Basketball
Enjoy this hilarious and competetive sport at 7 pm on Wednesday, March 20 at the SHS Main Gym. Come cheer on your favorite team! Springville Police vs. Firemen and also the Students vs. Teachers. Advance ticket prices are $8 Adult, $6 Student, $4 Child, Free Under Age 5. Tickets available at SHS Finance office or go to springvilleffa.com to buy online. Sponsored by Springville FFA Chapter.
Household Hazardous Waste Event
For safe disposal of hazardous household items, bring to the Provo Towne Centre west parking lot on Saturday, April 13th between 9am and 3pm. Rocky Mountain Document Destruction will also be at this event to do free shredding for the community. Please try to limit your collection to 2 boxes. Thanks.
Yard Waste Facility Now Open
Yard waste facility is now open for 2013. Tuesday – Saturday, 8 AM to 6 PM. There is no compost available. Any quesitons call Public Works 801-491-2780.

The purpose of the hearings is to consider: an amendment to the Springville City Municipal Code, Title 11-7-410 and 14-5-101 pertaining to required improvements.
