Prevent Frozen Pipes
The freezing temperatures have caused many residents to have frozen pipes in their homes. The Water Department of the city has had several calls and concerns regarding this problem. A good solution to prevent this problem is to allow a very small stream of water to run continuously from a faucet during the cold weather hours. If your basement is vacant or unfinished, you should have heat turned on until the cold weather diminishes.
City Offices Closed For Holiday
All Springville City offices will be closed on Monday, January 21st in observance of Civil Rights Day.
Historic Center Community Open House
An Open House involving the Springville City Historic Center; 400 North to 800 South; and 400 West to 400 East will be held Wednesday, January 23rd at 6:30 PM in the Civic Center Multi-purpose room located at 110 South Main Street. PLEASE COME AND SHARE YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF THE HISTORIC CENTER!
Public Hearing Notice
The Springville City Planning Commission hereby gives notice of a Public Hearing scheduled for 6:00 PM on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 in the Civic Center Council Chambers, 110 South Main Street, Springville, Utah. The purpose of the hearings is to consider a conditional use approval for public agency senior housing to be located at 451 South Main Street in the CC – Community Commercial and R1-8 Residential Single Family zone. Building Division Open House
Januray 24, 2013 – Building Division Open House – Discussions regarding permit requirements, State Law and your personal rights. Open House will be held from 6:00-8:00 at Springville City Hall Multipurpose room. Light refreshments will be served.
Utah Jazz – Junior Jazz Night
ATTENTION JR. JAZZ PLAYERS, FAMILY AND FRIENDS! This Thursday, January 17 will be a Utah Jazz player appearance! Held at Provo High School gymnasium at 7 pm. Junior Jazz players, family and friends are invited to come meet a player from the Utah Jazz and it’s FREE!
Women’s Volleyball League
Registration deadline is Friday, January 11th at 5pm. Women’s Volleyball is for women 18 years and older. You can register as a team or as an individual. The fee is $37 per player. Minimum of 8 players per team. After the deadline a $10 late fee will be added. Games start January 24th. League plays for about 6 weeks before tournament play. Registration is in-office at 443 South 200 East or online at www.xpressrec.com.
