400 South pre-construction survey.

SR 77 (400 South) UDOT Project.
Participate in the UDOT SR-77 (400 South) Pre-Construction survey. Our goal is to gather public opinion prior to the start of the 400 South expansion project, which will widen 400 South from two to four lanes with a center median from I-15 to Main Street in Springville.

Included in this project, UDOT will re-build the freeway exit and build new highway bridges at 1500 West and 400 West. Construction will begin this summer and should be complete by Spring 2010.

Road Slurry Seal Project Update

On July 15, 2008 the City Council awarded the Slurry Seal 2008-09 project to M&M Asphalt Company for various Springville City roads in the amount of $251,805.92. The approved project will begin on Monday, July 28th, weather permitting. The full project may take as long as three weeks to complete. The roadways scheduled for slurry seal can be viewed by clicking here.

Public Safety Fair on August 4th

Public Safety Fair on August 4 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Arts Park.

Some of the events that will be there are:

Air Med Helicopter

Utah County Sheriff’s Office doing a K-9 presentation

Springville Police, Fire and Ambulance. Children can squirt fire hoses and get in police vehicles and talk with a dispatcher.

Smoking in public areas prohibited.

The Springville City Council hereby gives Public Notice to the citizens of Springville of the adoption of an ordinance at their regularly scheduled meeting held July 1, 2008. This is: Ordinance #17-2008 amending 8-4-112 of the Municipal Code to prohibit smoking in public parks, playground areas, recreational areas, cemeteries, and near mass gatherings.
