Utah County Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day
Saturday, March 15th for Utah County Residents
The Utah County Health Department, in conjunction with the South Utah Valley Solid Waste District and the North Pointe Solid Waste Special Service District, are offering an opportunity to Utah County residents to safely dispose of household hazardous wastes on Saturday, March 15th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The collection will take place at Utah Valley State College’s northwest parking lot (on 1200 West 800 South in Orem).
Items being collected include:
Paints/Stains
Gasoline/Fuels
Motor Oil/Lubricants
Antifreeze
Solvents/Thinners
All-purpose cleaners
Aerosol cans
Pesticides/Herbicides
Glues/Adhesives
Fluorescent light bulbs
Mercury thermometers
Photographic chemicals
Batteries
Residents wishing to dispose of materials are asked to not mix wastes. If possible, residents leave materials in original containers with labels intact, or mark the containers if labels are missing. All containers must be capped or sealed. Containers also must be deposited with waste materials and cannot be returned. It is suggested that residents transport waste containers in a cardboard box lined with newspaper.

Ammunition
Explosives
Asbestos materials
Radioactive waste
PCB-related materials
Medical or biological waste
Prescription medications
Business or commercial waste
Construction or demolition materials
Electronics
Tires
