All Open Fires Banned in Springville Canyon Parks.

Beginning July 6, 2007, all open fires, charcoal fires, and any type of fire which produces an ember will be banned in Springville Canyon Parks until the Forest Service lifts the restriction. Historically the restrictions are lifted around the first of October. This restriction prohibits campfires, fires in the pavilion fireplaces, fires in the fire pits, and charcoal fires. However, gas barbecues and stoves are still allowed. The forest service ban also restricts smoking outside of a vehicle or while away from a paved road or hard surface. The Canyon Parks staff will be posting signs throughout the Canyon Parks and informing patrons of the restrictions.
