Alan Robinson named Springville City Employee of the Year.
Springville, Utah - The fourth annual Springville City Employee Award Banquet was held February 27, 2007, honoring several employees in recognition of outstanding performance in 2006. Throughout the year employees are nominated for this special recognition. An “Employee of the Year” award for 2006 was presented by the City Administrator. A plaque in the Administration Building lists all recipients and features the picture of the current employee being recognized. Mayor Mangum and members of the City Council attended the dinner.
Employees recognized this year include Chris Bagley (Police), Allen Birch (Electric), Kami Craudell (Electric), Shirley Green (Administration/Finance), Rick Hansen (Building Inspection), Craig Norman (Golf), Shaun Orton (Buildings & Grounds), Patti Rogers (Library), Linzy Rowett (Solid Waste), and Bruce Taylor (Building Inspection).
The Employee of the Year award for 2006 was presented to Alan Robinson of Public Works. A couple of years ago Alan moved from Water Maintenance to the newly organized Waste Water Maintenance division. Alan was instrumental in getting this new division up and running. He has saved the City tens of thousands of dollars of equipment expenses by refurbishing the TV truck. With the aid of the TV truck equipment he has been able to identify multiple issues throughout the sewer system. Two contracts are already out to bid for contractors to start correcting these problems. “Alan is consistently one of our highest rated employees in Public Works,” said Administrator Fitzgerald. “He always has a smile on his face and is always willing to pitch in and go the extra mile.”
“I’ve known Alan and his wife for a number of years,” commented Mayor Mangum, “I couldn’t be happier to acknowledge the achievements of an employee with such great spirit and enthusiasm.”
