New impact fees beginning December 15th, 2005

The City Council adopted new impact fees on November 15, 2005. The fee increase is being phased in, with half the increased impact fees going into effect on December 15, 2005 and the full impact fee increase becoming effective on February 1, 2006.

The fee becomes effective on complete building plans submitted on or after the December 15th and February 1st dates listed above. Completed plans submitted before those dates will have six months from the date the plan was approved by the city plans examiner to purchase their building permits and pay the total fees required for issuance of that permit. Any plans that are not picked up and paid for before the six month period expires will need to resubmit their plans and will be subject to all of the impact fees in place at the time of resubmission.

Also, please be aware that building plans may not be submitted for unrecorded subdivisions or illegally divided lots. Please be aware that if such are submitted, they will be returned to the submitter.

Fee schedule

Winter Parking Regulations

The winter street parking permit program has been eliminated and most residents now will be able to park on City streets at night during the winter months. Instead of requiring parking permits, the Council has designated certain major streets “No Overnight Parking” streets. This map highlights the designated “No Overnight Parking” streets in red. Parking will not be allowed on these streets between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. from November 1st to March 30th. For more information contact the Public Works Department at 491-2780.
