Springville City Library Director Lynette Catherall retiring,

Lynette Catherall will be retiring after 20 years with the Springville City Public Library. Please join us in honoring her at a retirement open house on Friday, July 29th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm in the Council room at City Hall.

The Springville Department of Public Safety will be hosting a Night-Out against Crime.

Springville’s Department of Public Safety will be hosting a Night-Out against Crime on August 1, 2005 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Arts Park. Bring the family and join with the Department of Public Safety to learn ways to protect ourselves, families and property. Topics that will be discussed are; Neighborhood Watch, Internet Safety, Substance Abuse and Protecting Ourselves from Property Crimes. The Springville Youth City Council will be there giving away free snow cones and cotton candy. The Police Department will be completing child identification kits for those who are interested.

Springville Police Department

Come see the new patrol vehicles, school resource officer’s vehicles and the new Command Center that will be on display.
Officer will be discussing and passing out pamphlets on; substance abuse, neighborhood watch, internet safety and protecting our property.
Officers will be completing child identification kits.

Springville Fire Department

Members of the Fire Department will be talking about fire safety. The fire trucks will also be on display.

CERT Team

Members of the CERT team will be discussing emergency preparedness plans.

Utah County Sheriff’s K-9 Team

Members the K-9 team will be doing a K-9 presentation should be a great time for the whole family.

Utah Highway Patrol

A Trooper with the Utah Highway Patrol will be talking about seat belt safety and the seat belt sled will be available for demonstration.
