Springville Area Chamber of Commerce Safe Halloween Saturday, October 30, 2004

The Springville Area Chamber of Commerce is continuing the Safe Halloween project. Last year was a huge success. This year the Chamber expects over 3,000 children to attend (weather permitting). The time will be from 3:00pm to 5:00pm on Saturday, October 30, 2004.
If you have a home business and are not located on Main Street but would like to have a table, please contact the Springville Area Chamber of Commerce at 489-4681 and learn what options are available.

Springville City Light & Power Celebrates 100 Years

Springville Electrical Department is celebrating it’s 100 Year Anniversary. This celebration will take place September 25th to October 2, 2004 in conjunction with Public Power Week. Residents are invited to come to an Open House anytime Saturday, September 25th to view the facilities. Special groups can be accommodated by calling the Power Department. Tours are also being offered to all Springville City area schools September 29th, 30th, and October 1st. Each tour will include: a presentation to the class by Springville City Light & Power Department on power generation and electrical safety; a tour of the Whitehead Power Plant; and a chance to view the equipment that the electric department staff uses to generate and distribute power for the City of Springville. Each tour will take approximately an hour and a half. We hope residents will respond to this invitation to learn about power. Springville Chamber of Commerce 2nd Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament

Support the Springville Chamber of Commerce by joining their 2nd Annual Springville Chamber Scholarship Golf Tournament. The date is Friday, September 10th at Hobble Creek Golf Course. Registration begins at 7:30 am with a shotgun start planned for 8:30 am. Ten local area businesses will be sponsoring prize holes and a steak lunch will be provided after the tournament.
