Springville Area Chamber of Commerce


WE REALLY HAVE SOME GREAT ACTIVITIES & OPPORTUNITIES FOR OUR MEMBERS:


We will continue with those activities that have become traditional here in Springville:
  • Scholarships awarded to deserving students at SHS (4 planned for 2007)
  • Annual Golf Tournament to raise the money those scholarships
  • Free inclusion in the “Welcome Bags” given to the new residents of Springville and new businesses (almost 1000 delivered this year).
  • Safe Halloween in Downtown Springville
 

In 2006 we added:

  • The Bi-annual Springville Area Business Directory mailed to 11,000 residents of the Springville-Mapleton Area plus put into the Welcome Bags.
  • Business of the Month was re-instituted to recognize those businesses that are exemplify great business practices in the community.
  • The Springville Area Chamber of Commerce web site which includes the directory, tons of information and enables easy communication among members and the public. www.springvilleareachamber.com
 
In 2007 we are adding:
  • Monthly breakfasts with short program and ample opportunity to network and promote your business on the last Wednesday of every month at the Hobble Creek Restaurant at the Hobble Creek Golf Course at 7:30am.
  • Producing an Springville/ Mapleton map, listing all Chamber of Commerce  members and their location. In addition you will be able to purchase advertising around the map for a nominal fee. Only Chamber members will be able to advertise and distribute the map. We will mail almost 11,000 to residents and have many more available for your use.
  • The Nebo Economic Summit meeting will be here in Springville in March. Get the latest facts and statistics to help your business grow.
  • Chamber representative scheduled to be at City Planning Committee  & City Council meetings - Have a voice in the community!

Benefits of Springville Chamber Membership

  • You have a voice with the city - Don't forget, you are us and we are you.  All members of the Springville Area Chamber of Commerce are employees of or owners of businesses that have a vested interest in what happens here in the Springville/Mapleton area.  The acts as a source of information and as collective voice on issues that are important to you and yor business.
  • Networking with other professionals - Monthly networking meetings - The last wednesday of every month at the Flying-J Restaurant (I-15 Springville Exit 265) at 8am - Come enjoy a buffet breakfast ($6.99) and have the opportunity to rub shoulders and learn keys of success from various business leaders throughout the community.
  • NEBO ECONOMIC SUMMIT - This is the economic summit for Southern Utah County and Springville is the host city for 2007.  Come be a sponsor and promote your business to literally hundreds of leaders in the community and learn the latest economic and development trends that are happening in your community.
  • Promotional activities - tons of opportunites exist with membership in the chamber to promote your company, such as:
    • Advertising in the NEW Springville Area map - All chamber members will be listed and only chamber members will have the opportunity to advertise in the map.  Over 25,000 copies will be distributed.
    • Advertise with Comcast - Ability to affordably advertise in specific markets on various cable channels and partner with other local businesses.  Need to be a member by March 1st to make the advertising deadline.
    • Ribbon Cuttings & Grand Openings - New businesses to the area can celebrate their Grand Openings with a Springville Area Chamber Ribbon Cutting.  And will be featured on the marquee and in the Springville Herald
    • FINDING NEBO contest - This is a fun community wide activity that is designed to bring customers to your business.  For six weeks twice a year, Nebo comes out and goes shopping at various businesses throughout the community and then everyone tries to find where he is.  If they find Nebo, they can win some awesome prizes!
  • Community recognition and prestige - Every month The Springville Area Chamber selects a BUSINESS OF THE MONTH who is then featured on the marquee on the North end of Springville, an article in the Springville Herald with a biography of the company and photos and also the opportunity to display the Business of the Month banner.  We also select the Business of the Year from those Business of the Month recipients.  CONGRATULATIONS TO FUNFINITY - 2006 BUSINESS OF THE YEAR
  • FREE listing on the www.springvilleareachamber.com web-site.  This offers the following benefits:
    • Ability to create you own business profile
    • Ability to advertise your business and add special offers/coupons/etc.  
    • Ability to link from our web-site to your web-site
    • Access to other Chamber Members
  • FREE inclusion in the Springville Welcome Bags - Include your advertising brochure, coupons, promotional items in the Springville Welcome Bags - These bags are given to new utility customers and new businesses filing for a new business license.  Over 1000 bags were given away last year.
  • Opportunity to participate in the Annual Springville Area Chamber Golf Tournament - Proceeds go to help pay for scholarships at the Springville High School.
  • Opportunity to be a voice in Springville business and a force for good in the community

What's Happening

6TH ANNUAL SPRINGVILLE AREA CHAMBER GOLF TOURNAMENT - It is with pleasure and enthusiam that the Springville Area Chamber of Commerce announces its 6th annual scholarship golf tournament.  The date is set for Friday September 14th at Hobble Creek Golf Course.  We have ordered beautiful fall weather and a "hole in one" for everyone!

 

We are excited to invite your company to be a sponsor for the tournament. Since the beginning, it has been the desire of the Chamber to make this tournament the best in the valley.  It is with the help of Springville City , the great staff at Hobble Creek Golf Course, and the generous contributions of all the sponsors that this goal is becoming a reality.

 We are looking for major sponsors for this years’ tournament. The cost to be a sponsor is a minimum donation of $1,000 and includes the following:

               • 4 man team to compete in the tournament, green fees and carts. 

               • Sponsor prize hole where you can advertise your company.

               • Sponsor name on all advertising for the tournament.

               • Continental breakfast & steak dinner following tournament play.

               • Opportunity to provide company items for the "goodie bag."

               • Closest to the Hole----P-51 Airplane ride Sponsored by Alpine Air.


THIS IS A SCHOLARSHIP TOURNAMENT AND PROCEEDS FROM THE TOURNAMENT WILL FUND SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THE YEAR 2007-2008.
